Former Motor Action coach David George has joined Harare City as assistant to Bigboy Mawiwi.
His arrival at City could relieve welfare manager Pardon Chivasa who last season was double-acting as assistant coach as well.
“Mawiwi has for a long time been admiring George. They will be working together this season and they have been getting along very well so far,” said the source.
George was in charge of Motor Action who were relegated at the end of last season largely due to financial constraints.
At one time last season, George was speculated to be on his way to Dynamos to assist Callisto Pasuwa but the move did not materialise.
Harare City are set to lose Silas Songani who is close to join Danish side Sonderjyske.
But he would be replaced by Mhleli Sibanda who is coming in from FC Platinum.
Striker Tineyi Chitora is about to sign for them as he makes a return to the capital after he was offloaded by Dynamos in 2012.
