MUTARE businessman-cum music promoter Esau Mupfumi this week gave n Jah Prayzah a Mercedes-Benz E240 for winning four awards at the recently held 13th edition of the National Arts Merit Awards (Nama).
Speaking to NewsDay on the sidelines of the handover ceremony on Wednesday, Mupfumi said he was encouraged by the musician’s hard work on the showbiz.
“Jah Prayzah is a very humble musician and through his works, he has proved that he is the man of the moment and must be appreciated for that,” Mupfumi said.
“His songs carry counselling messages that are useful to all generations, hence his music becoming popular to many.”
“God is there for all people and I am humbled by what Mupfumi has done for me. He has showed confidence in me and I respect the gesture,” Jah Prayzah said.
“This is not the first time being appreciated for my works by Mupfumi. He has done a lot for me both in my life and musical career that needs almost a day for me to state.”
Mupfumi is a renowned music promoter who has been instrumental in putting most of the local artistes on the limelight by according them a platform to perform at his joint in Mutare.
