Musician MC Chita, real name Chitarisiro Chiketa (pictured right), has released a new music video for the track Me, Myself, My God, My Grind where he talks about his day-to-day hustle and his spiritual stance.

The video was released last month on popular video-sharing online platform YouTube and it has gained favourable views.

“The song, Me, Myself, My God, My Grind is about perseverance in the face of adversity and overcoming it through faith and hard work,” he said.

“In the end, I make it out and reenters the real world, reborn and ready to take on the world.”

“We also wanted to push the Me, Myself factor as well, so the whole video is featuring myself, alone — no fancy cars, no crowds, and no hot or semi-nude women. It was just MC Chita and hard hitting bars.” he said.

MC Chita said what they did in the video was the set up of two scenarios — the main one which shows the rapper in purgatory as he raps about his woes and struggles, and the conclusion which is basically him making it to the real world.

“This new video means a lot to me and my inner self. I tried to pour my heart out and talk about my struggles, God and my spiritual stance. The response has been good and I look forward to reaching greater heights with this new work,” he said.

MC Chita is known for tracks such as Dandaro, featuring Roki and No Dhiri, whose video made it on MTV Base. The song They Don’t Like Me was produced and the video shot in Jamaica, while Boyz Dzangu was a hit which he featured Jnr Brown and Tehn Diamond.
