Mthwakazi Republic Party on Sunday visited Cowdray Park on its campaign trail. Party's spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo said the Team MRP was in Cowdray Park.
"MRP President Mqondisi Moyo and some executive members visited Cowdrypark to help campaign for Clearance Ndlovu the party's Parliamentary candidate for Luveve Cowdrypark constituency. Fliers were distributed and we spoke to the people on one on one basis," Gumbo said.
"The constituency has seen an increase in illegal activities ranging from illegal businesses, house breaking, and this has caused the Constituency to be unsafe. Residents here complained that the Cowdrypark Councillor Mr Collet Ndlovu of MDC-T is too corrupt and is involved in many illegal activities. Recently Mr Collet Ndlovu abused resident's funds. Over 1000 of Cowdrypark residents are said to have mobilised themselves to form a cooperative and bought commuter buses."
He said each members paid $30-00 and when those buses were bought he converted them into his personal property.
"Residents promised to back MRP because they understand its philosophy to Restore Mthwakazi. Residents across the political divide did not resist Team MRP. They said they are tired of ZANU PF and MDC-T. MRP Information Department," he said.
