FOOTBALL fans will have to wait a little longer for the 2018 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) season after the top-flight league management decided to delay its kick-off.
The league management held its Annual General Meeting in Harare recently where it was resolved to postpone the 2018 season start to March 17.
PSL had, last month, announced that the league would resume on March 10.
The postponement follows reports that clubs have not completed their registrations in line with the FIFA Club Licensing program.
"Please be further advised that the 2018 PSL season will now kick off on Saturday 17 March 2018. All the clubs are expected to complete player registration by Wednesday 07 March 2018.
“The League fixtures for the forth coming season shall be released by Tuesday ,06 April 2018," the PSL said in a statement last week.
Meanwhile, the league has also agreed that Harare City be readmitted into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
This was after How Mine FC indicated that they were no longer able to take up their 2018 slot in the PSL.
Harare City, by virtue of finishing 15th last season, were given first preference to take up How Mine’s place.
