Zambia bowed 3-2 to ten-man Italy after extra-time in an electrifying encounter to miss the semi-finals of the Fifa U20 World Cup in Korea Republic.
Patson Daka put the Junior Chipolopolo ahead in the first four minutes, but the Europeans got the equaliser within five minutes at the start of the second half through Riccardo Orsolini.
In the 84th minute, Fashion Sakala put his team ahead with a well-placed strike into the top corner from 12 yards. And with four minutes left to play, Federico Dimarco dragged the game into extra-time with a fine strike.
But Luca Vido had the final say with his winner in the 111st minute to power his side into the last four.
